Sammi-Peony, is a Dental Therapist and Aesthetics Practitioner based in the New Forest, Hampshire.
Sammi-Peony works solely at Dentistry @ Oceana Boulevard, Southampton, Hampshire, where she provides a wide range of treatment within her scope of practice as a Dental Therapist. After qualifying in 2019 from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, she went on to qualify in teeth whitening, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C intramuscular injections and facial aesthetics. Prior to this, Sammi-Peony worked as a Qualified Dental Nurse for 10 years, in both private and NHS dental practices within Hampshire.
During her Undergraduate degree, she spent two years completing a research project into the importance of improving Homeless oral health, which she aims to complete a MRes in Homeless oral health in the future, to follow up the previous research. Sammi-Peony regularly volunteers for the “Crisis at Christmas” charity working with homeless in London. In March 2020 She joined a small team of dental volunteers to travel to Cambodia to provide dental treatment within the poorest regions, on behalf of DentAid.
In September 2020 has started a part time PG Cert in Clinical Education at the University of Plymouth, Peninsula school of Medicine and Dentistry.
Sammi-Peony has recently been announced as a Finalist for Best Dental Therapist For The Dentistry Awards 2020 and The Oral Health Awards 2020.
Within her spare time,Sammi-Peony enjoys sewing, painting, kayaking and horse riding.
After growing up on a farm, she has a large love for agricultural practices and the south coast.
Therefore, she tries to get out in the countryside with her dog, Willow, as much as possible!
If Sammi-Peony is not in a dental practice, she can be found modelling or exploring a new part of the UK.
